A couple of months ago I made a free Assignment Calendar template for the Spring 2016 semester, and since then I’ve heard some great things about how you all are using it!
I love hearing how you all are using the download and I’ve had a couple of requests to create more for future semesters, starting with the Summer 2016 semester for those students taking summer courses. I’ve got great news: It’s here and ready to be downloaded!
About it + How to Use
This calendar is super simple to use. Simply sit down with your syllabus for each class and type (or write) in each assignment on the day it is due. If you have multiple classes, consider color coding like I do to quickly and easily differentiate each course.
I love color coding, since I have synesthesia. I use the same color code for my classes throughout my Google Calendars and my planners so it only makes sense for me to extend this to my assignment calendar.
I like to put the assignment in on the day that it is due, not the day it’s assigned or the day that I need to work on it, because it helps me plan ahead a little bit. It helps me see in a quick glance if I have anything to complete before class.
I like to keep a printed physical copy of this calendar next to my desk as well as a digital copy saved on my computer so that I can access it when I’m not in my room.
This is a great way to keep track of your assignments without having to reference the syllabus every day!
Want to try using this system for yourself? Awesome! Here is a template for the Summer 2016 semester.
Of course you can use this template and alter it to fit any semester just by changing the dates and month.
