Today I'm proud to bring to you a guest post by two authors! These twins, Steph and Jo, blog over at Opal and Opal about everything involving their life after graduation. Today they're here to talk about 6 of their favorite places to eat in Los Angeles, California!

6 Great Places to Eat in Los AngelesThe SoCal area is filled great food, so we wanted to share with you some amazing and memorable places to eat and hang out with friends and family in the Los Angeles area. As many of you know, food plays a major role in LA culture, and we hope to add to this experience by suggesting some cool places to visit.

POT restaurant

1. POT

: fun environment, great place for friends :

The POT, located within the Line hotel, was definitely an interesting find. The food is just amazing and the environment is fun and exciting.  My sister and I went with friends for dinner. The room was quite dark, but that just added to the mysterious nature of this restaurant. We ordered the BOOT KNOCKER, which contained Korean soup base, spam, and sausages—tasted AMAZING with rice! A little bonus: right outside the restaurant is a cute little store called Poketo.

2. Myung Dong Kyoja

: healthy, refreshing :

This little place is located in Koreatown. The food there is just awesome for the summer heat. Their cold noodles, some of which contain ice cubs, are not only refreshing but also quite healthy. Also, be sure to try their chlorella noodles—it sounds strange, but it’s quite a dish—and their dumplings!

3. Nature’s Brew

: healthy, hipster, study place :

Nature’s Brew is such a hipster place. The food and drinks are not only healthy, but absolutely delicious. Their sandwiches are a must try! Although it’s on the pricier side of sandwiches, it’s still a must try. The environment is very friendly, and it’s also a great place to study!

 1. Document Coffee Bar

: good coffee, study place, great place for friends :

I love this little coffee bar. It definitely has a hipster feel to it, but that’s how you know the coffee here is good. Additionally, their homemade hot chocolate is OFF-THE-ROOF! It’s absolutely delicious and it’s very interesting. It’s a great place to hang out with your friends, and it’s quite enough to get some studying done, too!

2. Ozero Tea & Desserts

: flavorful, study place :

Ozero is one of the better, more authentic milk tea places in Los Angeles. The milk is quite flavorful, and you can control the sugar level—making for a customizable tea. Their brick toast is quite delicious as well. Ozero is also a great place to study.

3. Rewts

: flavorful, traditional, study place :

Rewts just opened recently, but it’s already getting a name for itself. This little, hipster café close to the USC campus and was started by a Taiwanese person. If you love traditional teas and strongly tea-flavored milk teas, this is definitely the place for you. The Rewts house blend is definitely worth the try! Also, Rewts is a good study place, but it’s a little small. Get there early before USC students take all the seats!

Hope you guys have a good time exploring the Los Angeles area! The food, coffee, teas are pretty great! Of course, there are so many more awesome places in LA. We’ve only cracked the surface, but at least this will get you started on places to try! Let us know if you have any questions!

XOXO Steph & Jo

Everything sounds so delish! I love asian food and when you were reviewing Pot restaurant, I was shocked to read that you can buy asian food there…I honestly thought it would have other stuff in the food. LOL! ===Kind of like a hipster restaurant.
