All your school supplies necessities for under $25! #college #school #education

I’ve said it time and time again, but my favorite part about the new year school starting is school supplies shopping! The feeling of packing a bag full of brand new notebooks and pens just fills my heart with a warm fuzzy feeling.

This year I’ve partnered with Office Depot, Inc. and Her Campus Media to bring to you some great school supplies necessities, all that you can get for under $25 to help you #GearUpForCollege!

Post it Notes

Post it NotesPost it notes make great organizational tools. From bookmarking important passages in your textbook, creating a post it note calendar for a busy week, organizing your planner, or whatever you choose!

I swear by using post it notes as a simple way to color code nearly anything. You can never have too many!

3 Subject Notebook

NotebookMy note taking system is rather precise: I take a rough messy draft of the notes using just a pen or pencil on loose leaf paper in a binder. Then in between classes or when I get back to my room, I like to take a 3 subject notebook, some post it notes, highlighters, and colorful markers and re-write my notes.

I make sure that I have one section for each course that requires notes so that I can organize them that way and I also create a table of contents at the front of each section to be able to find my notes easier for study sessions.

Colored Pencils

Colored PencilsWhen I started college I was pleasantly surprised at how many times I found myself coloring for assignments. My roommate who’s coloring supplies I had to steal… was not as pleasantly surprised.

This year I made sure to put it on my list of things to get, and I have already used it just 3 days into my semester!

Mechanical Pencils

PencilOf course, you will need writing utensils. I prefer to use pencils over pens because I make a lot of mistakes when writing and I have very messy handwriting so I like to be able to erase.

These mechanical pencils will last much longer than the wooden #2 ones you have to sharpen, and will save you money in the long run.

Highlighters

HighlightersIf you’ve been around here for a while you know that I am a huge fan of color coding. There have been studies that color coding can help your brain memorize and pay attention better.

Highlighters are a great way to do this. From highlighting specific information in your textbook, your planner, your notecards, in your notes, or wherever you choose.. highlighters will never fail to be useful.

Remember that you can gear up for College with Office Depot and OfficeMax stores or online at officedepot.com, where students can find the best gear to help them reach their peak performance.

Thank you to Office Depot, Inc. and Her Campus Media for partnering on this post!

What are your back to school essentials?! Any specific school supplies that you swear by?
